In addition to those seeking peace and quiet, hikers, cyclists and skiers will also get their money's worth. In summer hiking and biking tours can be undertaken; in winter the skiing area Gitschberg Jochtal can be reached by car in about 10 min - there is also a toboggan run.
In about 15 min you can reach the village Weitental and in about 20 min Vintl; here you can do various shopping.
In about 45 min you can reach the cities of Bressanone and Brunico; here you can find many shopping opportunities, culinary delights and various leisure activities such as a climbing park or swimming pools. Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol can be reached in about 1.5 hours; here too there is much to experience.
Our guests receive the Brixen Südtirol Card free of charge for the entire duration of their stay. The card allows free use of all public transportation throughout South Tyrol, including regional trains, all local buses including ski buses, as well as selected public cable cars, the Ritten tramway and the Mendel funicular railway.
During certain periods, one free ascent and descent per day with selected cable cars is also included. In the Gitschberg Jochtal area, this applies to the Gitschberg-Nesselbahn and the Jochtalbahn from 14 May to 10 July 2026 and from 5 September to 7 November 2026. On the mountain above Bressanone (Brixen), the Plose cable car, the Pfannspitz cable car and the Palmschoß chairlift are also included from 23 May to 10 July 2026 and from 5 September to 1 November 2026.
